Permaculture (permanent agriculture) is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. 

Along with helping to preserve the integrity of the land, other goals are:
To host and protect native Hawaiian plants.
To nurture the usable plants that the land naturally provides.
To add edibles and buildables to this land in a creative and functional way.
To replace some non-edibles and buildables to this land in a creative and functional way.
To maintain an on-going education of Permaculture on Maui.

We offer education and experience in Kolealea's on-going Permaculture development. There is lecture and work in preparing the land, planting, and maintaining our Permaculture endeavor to nurture the existing natural island plants and trees, and the sustainable food sources we add.
We study, we work - Nature is our outdoor classroom.
